Last updated 26 August 2026

You are about to hand us a photograph that matters to you. This page says plainly what happens to it, who else sees it, and when it is deleted.

The short version

  • Your photographs and videos are private to you. They are never published, never shown in a gallery, and never given a public link.
  • They are never used to train AI models — not ours, and not anyone else's.
  • They delete themselves automatically after seven days. That is a scheduled job, not a promise we have to remember to keep.
  • We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

What we collect

The photograph you upload

The image itself, and the answers you give to the few questions we ask about how it should sound. We do not ask you to write a prompt and we do not ask what the photograph is of.

Your email address

Only if you give it to us — to sign in, to be told when your video is ready, or at checkout. Signing in is an emailed link, so your address is the whole of your account: there is no password for us to store and nothing else for us to ask you for.

A small amount of technical information

We record the IP address a sign-in link was requested from, and the IP address of visitors using the free allowance. Both exist for one reason: to stop one person from sending sign-in emails to strangers or exhausting a free tier meant for everybody. We also keep an internal log of events like "video finished" and "payment received" so we can tell what happened when something goes wrong.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not run third-party analytics that follow you around the web.

How long we keep it

  • Photographs and videos: seven days. Every file is given a deletion date the moment it is created, that date is shown to you on the page, and a scheduled job removes the file when it arrives. Download anything you want to keep before then.
  • Sign-in links: twenty minutes. They also stop working the first time they are used. The record of the request is deleted a week later.
  • Your account: your email address and purchase history stay until you ask us to delete them.

Who else touches your photograph

Running this service means a handful of other companies process some of your information on our behalf. This is the whole list.

  • Cloudflare. Hosts the site and stores your photographs and videos in private storage. Also provides the anti-abuse challenge on our forms.
  • Google. Runs the AI models that make the video. Your photograph is sent to Google to generate the animation, and to suggest the questions we ask about sound.
  • Amazon Web Services. Delivers our email — the sign-in link and the note telling you your video is ready.
  • Stripe. Handles payment if you buy something. Stripe collects your card details directly; we never see or store them.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not share your photographs with anybody outside this list.

What we will never do

  • Use your photographs or videos to train an AI model.
  • Publish your keepsake, put it in a gallery, or give it a public URL.
  • Sell your email address, or add you to a marketing list you did not ask to join.
  • Keep your files indefinitely because it was easier than deleting them.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it by writing to support@livephotolab.com. We will do it, and we will not make it difficult. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold about you.

Marketing email is opt-in and off unless you turn it on. The emails about your own videos are not marketing and cannot be turned off while you have work in progress, because without them you would not know your video was ready.

Children

Live Photo Lab is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Family photographs often contain children, of course — those are handled exactly like every other photograph on this page, and deleted on the same schedule.

Changes, and how to reach us

If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and move the date at the top. Questions, or anything you would like removed: support@livephotolab.com. A person reads it.

Live Photo Lab

Uploaded photographs and generated videos are deleted after their retention window and are never used for training.
